Penis Shrinking—What It Is, Why It Happens, and How to Protect Yourself

I’m pretty sure most guys would agree that they don’t have any inches to spare down there. So, what would you do if you woke up and noticed that you weren’t what you once were?

This happens to more men than you would think, but it’s not something that happens overnight.

In this article, you’ll learn how a penis can shrink and what you can do to keep your Johnson where it’s at.

The Causes of a Shrinking Penis and How to Avoid Each

1. Aging

As you grow older, lots of changes occur in the body, and very few of them are positive. Certain changes cause decreased blood flow to the penis during an erection, resulting in a softer and smaller erect penis.

Decreased penile blood flow can be caused by a variety of things. These include fat deposits, scar tissue, and cardiovascular disease. Your best bet here is to work out and eat healthily. And if that doesn’t work, go see your doctor.

2. Obesity

When you gain weight around your midsection, the excess fat can cover the base of the penis. This leads to a penis that appears smaller even though it’s still the same size as before. The trouble is, this excess fat can sometimes get in the way of maximum penetration, therefore making the penis functionally smaller.

The only way to avoid this is to minimize weight gain and potentially lose the fat that you’ve already accumulated. Exercise and a healthy diet are a good place to start. If you still struggle, see your doctor. Some people have conditions that slow their metabolisms, leading to weight gain, so it’s possible you may need medication to successfully lose weight.

3. Certain Medications

Most of us are going to need some prescription medications during our lives. Unfortunately, there is a whole slew of side effects with drugs, one of which is trouble getting hard. When insufficient blood flows to the penis during sexual arousal, the penis won’t reach its full size. And if your medication causes you to gain weight, your penis may appear smaller 24/7.

If you take medication and experience any sexual difficulties, speak with your doctor right away. There may be a different prescription that you could take to minimize the negative effects.

4. Medical Conditions

There are a few medical conditions that cause penis shrinkage. One of the most common is Peyronie’s disease. This condition causes scar tissue to develop inside of the penis. Over time, an erection may start to curve, eventually reducing the length and girth of an erection.

If you suspect that you might have Peyronie’s disease, speak with your doctor. Some men need surgery to remove the penile scar tissue.

Another condition that can lead to a smaller penis is prostate cancer. When a prostate is removed via surgery, the majority of men experience penis shrinkage. Doctors aren’t sure why this happens, but it may be due to the shortening of something called the urethral tube.

5. Smoking

There are many reasons not to smoke, but I believe more guys would quit if they knew that it almost guarantees a shorter penis over time. Smoking cigarettes damages blood vessels throughout the body, including those that supply the penis with blood. This damage can stop the penis from reaching its full erect size. One study found that men who smoke have a shorter average penis size when compared to non-smokers.

There’s only one thing you can do to avoid this—don’t smoke. It’s often harder than it sounds, but it truly is that simple.

How to Reverse Penis Shrinkage

The best way to avoid the dreaded shrinking penis is to take good care of your body. But sometimes, that isn’t enough. If you’ve noticed that your penis is smaller than it once was, there are ways to become the man you once were and more.

The Phalogenics male enhancement plan is a scientifically-proven penis enlargement method. It helps you gain inches in your flaccid and erect length and girth, so no matter where you’ve experienced shrinkage, you can reverse it.
