Some women say size matters. Others say it’s more about how you use it.
What one person thinks is too small or average, someone else may think is too big.
Regardless of what someone you know may have told you, there’s a specific penis size that’s considered scientifically perfect for most women.
Let’s go over everything you need to know about the ideal penis size.
According to extensive research based on women’s personal preferences, how they reacted to different penis sizes in a clinical setting, and what they would consider ideal in a long-term partner, scientists have found an answer.
On average, women prefer a partner whose penis is approximately 6 inches in length and 5 inches in circumference. Any deviation in either direction from this particular size resulted in fewer study participants claiming that size as one they prefer.
For example, few women claimed to prefer a penis that’s 5 inches in length and 4.5 in circumference. Similarly, though, not many preferred a penis that’s 8 inches in length and 6.5 inches in circumference.
Flaccid penis length was considered irrelevant, as participants were only asked what size they prefer sexually and not aesthetically.
So, this ‘golden size’ is often what women have in mind when they consider what they want from an ideal sexual partner.
To put it simply, it’s right in the middle of the range of different sizes that women were surveyed on.
Since this type of research considers only sexual pleasure, women consistently chose a size that is pleasurable enough for them without being considered too big or too small.
A man whose penis is approximately this size has the most potential (on average) to satisfy the highest number of women. Of course, though, there will always be women who prefer longer and thicker, shorter and slimmer, or a mixture of both.
To put it into perspective, you could compare this preference to how desirable women find men of different height.
Some women prefer very tall men, while others prefer shorter men. Somewhere in between is the average male height of what women prefer.
The pure enjoyment of looking at a perfectly-shaped penis isn’t the only thing women consider. There are a handful of other factors that contribute to the sexual pleasure a woman derives from their partner.
Let’s take a look.
Younger, more sexually active women tend to prefer partners with a penis around the aforementioned ideal size or larger.
As women age, however, their bodies begin produces less and less estrogen, which can cause the vagina to shorten and narrow under some circumstances.
As a result, the preferred penis size becomes shorter and slimmer in order to avoid discomfort.
Women who prefer to have casual sex or prefer to have sex on an occasional/infrequent basis tend to desire a partner with a medium or large penis.
Of course, this is not to say that there are women who don’t prefer a size that is below what’s considered generally ideal.
When alcohol, drugs, or both are involved, the sex associated with these scenarios is often pursued solely for pleasure. So, the ideal size is often sought after.
Since sex with large partners can cause pain afterward, a man with a substantially large penis often isn’t seen as an ideal long-term partner.
So, women who are looking to start or family or otherwise form a stable relationship are more inclined to desire a size that’s comfortable for them overall.
There are some medical conditions, such as vaginitis, that can cause sex to be extremely uncomfortable/painful if proper precautions aren’t taken.
It’s not uncommon for the liberal use of lubricant and having plenty of patience to be necessary requirements for sexual activity.
As a result, women who find sex to be a source of discomfort often prefer partners with smaller penis sizes.
Just like how men can have low libido, women can, too.
If a woman isn’t particularly interested in sex (or the person she’s having sex with), the lack of arousal can make intercourse fairly unpleasant physically. Women in this scenario tend to prefer penises that are average or below average in size.
On the other hand, a woman who is constantly sexually aroused may have a preference for larger penises.
So, the overall interest a woman has in sex can significantly contribute to the size that she prefers most.
That’s like asking ‘what if I want to play basketball, but I’m only 5’7″?’
If your penis isn’t in this ideal range, you still have plenty of other factors to work with when it comes to sexual performance.
If you’re larger, you’ll need more discretion in the bedroom. If you’re under this ideal size, you might need to work a little harder. Either way, you’re capable of having a very fulfilling sex life with your partner.
For those who wish to increase the length and girth of their penis, however, there are options. You can find out more about that here.
Most women have an ideal penis size in mind.
If you’re not quite to par, though, don’t worry. There are steps that you can take to reach this level.
